Young Aspiring Chanters, Boca Raton 2026

Over 40 young Orthodox Christians from across the country gathered at Saint Mark Greek Orthodox Church for three days of instruction, fellowship, and worship. They chanted Orthros and Divine Liturgy alongside Protopsaltes Samuel Herron and Joshua Boyd.

Purpose & focus

Preserve, teach, and celebrate Byzantine chant through workshops, rehearsals, liturgical participation, and a professionally produced album.

Fellowship events, catered meals, and sponsor engagement round out a weekend built for learning and worship.

Recording & fundraising

The weekend culminates in a recorded chant album serving as both a spiritual artifact and a recurring fundraising tool for future YAC programs.

A sponsor banquet and performance connect donors with the mission.

Long-term vision

What Boca 2026 built toward

Each year's YAC gathering adds to a growing network of young chanters, mentors, and clergy across the country.

  • Establish a repeatable conference playbook for future cities.
  • Grow a national network and year-round mentorship for youth chanters.
  • Release an annual chant album that funds scholarships and future programming.
  • Use Boca 2026 as the launchpad for digital education resources.

What's next for YAC

Boca was the beginning. The next gathering gets underway in Dallas this fall, October 23–25, 2026.
